Power Tech and Control Collection
Resilience / Druck
The first idea that came to mind as I contemplated my artistic adventure – there will be at least one more iteration on this idea, however this first incarnation tells a story slightly different than I anticipated, yet more powerful in a way.
This piece reflects my experience of corporate culture and pressure in a ‘high performance’, ‘high accountability’ environment.
You can read about the story of this piece HERE.
Reflections in an AI Bubble
This piece is definitely better seen in person, best I can do here is a very amateur video!
The idea of piece developed from my interactions over the years with AI. It took several turns of its own accord and developed into a functional, decorative object as well as a conceptual interpretation of my interactions with AI. A reflection, a danger and an entertainment. You can read about my journey with this piece starting HERE, HERE and HERE.
The Absurdity of War Toys – I
If we’re comfortable giving kids war toys, why not a cuddly nuke? This piece asks why we normalise some symbols of violence and not others. An absurdist piece that is to make you question, if not this, why that and the reasons and (ir)rationality behind it. This crocheted and felted Trident missile is the forerunner to a larger conceptual piece which is currently in progress.
